Windows 7
1. Click Start.
2. Type in "cmd" into the Search programs and files box then press Enter.
3. Navigate to the root directory.
4. Type in the following command, including the quotations:
"\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\FrmInst.exe"/forceuninstall
5. Press Enter. The uninstall process should begin. Wait for it to finish.
6. Restart the computer. The framework should be completely removed now.
Windows XP
NOTE: First, attempt to uninstall McAfee through a typical uninstall procedure, via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
1. Click Start.
2. Click Run.
3. Type cmd into the Run dialog box and press Enter.
4. Navigate to the root directory.
5. Type in the following command, including the quotations:
"Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\FrmInst.exe"/forceuninstall
6. Press Enter. The uninstall process should begin. Wait for it to finish.
7. Restart the computer. The framework should be completely removed now.
